How to add equipment

Summary

Equipment can represent any machine or tool used in the manufacturing process. Their creation is essential to manage their maintenance and obtain data on their performance. They can be inserted into a value stream.

   Adding Equipment

  1. Go to Equipments -> Equiments.



  2. This section contains basic equipment information such as Name, PIN, Owner, Hourly Cost, Associated Plant, Manufacturer, Model and Serial Number.

  3. This section contains the secondary description of the equipment which consists of a Prefix, separator, increment, another separator (optional) and a suffix (optional). Click on the check mark to preview the result.

  4. The calendar contains a graph of the hours worked with the equipment.

  5. When maintenance takes place, press this button. It reduces the time since the last maintenance to 0.

  6. You can change the photo of the equipment. Click on Drop your files here and then select an image of your computer. To remove the current photo, click on the Trash Icon.


   Set up equipment in a step

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Settings -> Value Stream.

  2. Click the equipment button in the step to open the add form.




  3. Click on the + to add a row.

  4. Select the workcell if applicable. This will determine what equipment can be added to the step.



  5. Select a piece of equipment.

  6. If real time equals the equipment time, check the field.

  7. Enter the maximum number of cards that can be used by the equipment.
