Project types
Résumé
Following the project module redesign, it exists 4 project types : Standard, Sales, Manufacturing and Template. In this article, you will learn about the different type and when to use them. To access projects go to Planning -> Projects.
Type
1. Standard
"Standard" projects are the most permissive and are used for cases that cannot correspond to other types. They can be linked to multiple sales orders at once but can not be linked to more than one customer.
2. Sales
"Sales" projects are linked one-for-one with a sales order. To be used when a sales order requires cards for service or production directly. Its status is linked to the sales order. Customer and Plant fields are mandatory for theses projects.
3. Manufacturing
"Manufacturing" projects exist to manage the cards dedicated to producing inventory. They cannot be linked to any sales order.
4. Template
The "Template" projects already existed, but were managed with project status. This type is used to contain map templates that can then be reused in projects. Cards created in thses projects can be copied with the "copy from template button"
