Schedule Releases Guide

Summary

It is possible to generate batch of shipments according to a precise schedule.

 Shipments Schedule Releases

  1. Go to Sales -> Sales Orders.
  2. Select the desired sales order. To learn how to create a sales order, see this article.
  3. In the Item section, select the desired item(s).



  4. Dans le menu « Plus d’actions », sélectionner « Programmer des relâches ». In the « More actions » menu, select « Schedule releases ».



  5. Plan the release schedule using the different options, so here are some details:
    1. Avoid fractions : activate it if the item to be shipped cannot be split.
    2. End after : choose the number of shipments desired, ALIX will divide the quantity of items per shipment.
    3. Fixed quantity per line : choose the desired quantity per shipment, ALIX will determine the number of shipments required.
  6. Click on the « Next » button.
  7. Verify and adjust the shipment information that will be created. Note: at this stage, shipments are not yet created, this is the preview before creation:
    1. It is possible to modify the planned dates and add a reference number in the « PO # » section.
    2. It is possible to delete one or more items from a planned shipment. To do this, select the item to be deleted, then click on the « Delete » button.
  8. Click on the « Create » button.
  9. Once the releases are scheduled, a small calendar icon appears next to the word « Shipped ».




 Edit Scheduled Releases

Note: it is impossible to modify a shipment that has already been shipped. If one or more scheduled shipments are already shipped, they will not be considered in the changes. Also, the following procedure deletes the existing schedule and then creates a new one with the updated information.
  1. Go to Sales -> Sales Orders.
  2. Select the desired sales order. To learn how to create a sales order, see this article.
  3. In the Items sectionclick on the calendar icon next to the word « Shipped ».



  4. The Releases Schedule screen appears. See the previous section « Shipments Schedule Releases » for details on the information to enter.


 Delete Scheduled Releases

Note: it is not possible to delete a shipment that has already been shipped. If one or more scheduled shipments are already shipped, they will not be taken into account in the deletion.
  1. Go to Sales -> Sales Orders.
  2. Select the desired sales order. To learn how to create a sales order, see this article.
  3. In the Items section, click on the calendar icon next to the word « Shipped ».



  4. Click on the « Deleate Periodicity » button.
